Dentistry isn't something you do to someone, it's something you do for someone. That philosophy of service has been the heartbeat and ethos of The Dental House and always will be. It is visible in everything we do, from the naturally enhanced smiles we design for our patients, to the quality of care and quantity of time we invest in every single appointment. We love what we do and who we do it for.
I believe that as a health care provider my job is to educate and empower, to present solutions and the real-life pros and cons of YOUR decision, not mine. There’s no pressure at The Dental House… it’s your freedom to choose which path is right for you. I don’t see any benefit in telling patients what to do. I am simply here to guide you in making the most beneficial and inspired decision you can possibly make, and then to support your directive. When I give patients a treatment plan I tell them “you can do some, none or all of what I treatment plan. This is merely a road map of what I think needs to happen to get you to optimum health based upon my experiences, education and philosophy. I am here to walk with you.”

When you first walk into The Dental House, you can’t help but stop and catch your breath a bit. There’s a paradoxical sense of “I’ve been here before” and “What is this place?!”
The reason… it’s unlike any dental practice you’ve ever been to, AND it feels like home.
The engineer behind this surreal experience is Dr. Tiffany Paiva, an inspiring paradox herself. She’s fascinating to talk to, as if you were in the presence of a true novelty, someone you have the privilege of meeting just once in a lifetime.
Instantly, you feel her passion for dentistry, a self-proclaimed “tooth enthusiast” and powerful business-woman. And yet, she’s easy-going, casual, putting you at ease almost without effort.
I sat in the patient lounge, sinking into a luxe black leather chair mesmerized by the beautiful, abstract patient art framed perfectly by clean white walls and a consistent design throughout. You can tell aesthetics come naturally to her eye, and yet there’s a simplicity to the brand… it’s all about the patient experience.
"I never want someone to feel like they're in a dental office. It should look and feel like an extension of your home, because that's the place you're most comfortable" she states. And she's right, you feel like you've time-warped from your front door straight into the living room.
I asked her where this idea came from, this sense of comfort and artfulness, of minimalism and meticulous attention to detail. Her response made all the sense in the world. “I’m a patient too. I’m scared of needles, afraid of pain, hungry for someone who treats me like the only person they’re seeing all day. So when I dreamt up my ideal patient experience, it was first: what would I want to feel going to the dentist? Then my team and I reverse-engineered the entire thing, start to finish. The result is The Dental House, a home away from home.”
The more we spoke, the more I realized this woman does one thing the same way she does everything. A prolific golfer, passionate entrepreneur, nurturing mother, avid photographer, and inspired designer—when she’s in the chair there’s harmony… you feel taken care of, loved, accepted; and simultaneously you feel her command of the office, the unyielding bar for perfection and her uncompromising commitment to relationship-based dentistry.
From cosmetic smile design, to restorative and general, Dr. Paiva operates at an exquisite level of excellence that Austin is lucky to call their own! As one of her patients told me, “She’s meticulous and fun-loving… how she does it all still amazes me!”

Hey there, I'm Alex, the quiet, calm member of The Dental House team, hailing from Laredo, Texas. In 2017, I made the move to the bustling city of Austin, seeking a balance to my peaceful disposition.
I'm a man of few words, which makes me the perfect complement to the vibrant energy of Dr. Paiva. While the rest of the team may be more outgoing, my reserved nature allows me to listen and observe, ensuring that every patient's needs are met with attention to detail.
When I'm not taking care of patients at The Dental House, you'll find me working out at the gym or immersing myself in video game adventures.
Let's not forget about my trio of pugs - Rocky, Rusty, and Rambo. These three furry friends are my constant companions, and they bring endless joy and laughter to my life.
As part of The Dental House team, I take pride in creating a soothing and welcoming environment for our patients. My quiet demeanor ensures that you'll always feel at ease during your visit. Whether it's assisting you during your visit or sharing a friendly chat, I'm here to make sure you feel like The Dental house is your home away from home.

Hello! I’m Lena and I’m the “sweet” one on Dr. Paiva’s team! I’m originally from Georgia, and I brought a little of my State’s southern charm with me in 2014 when I moved to the incredible city of Austin!
A little about me, the most important things… I love all things tech, organization and communication!
My position at The Dental House is all things front desk and patient relations… you’ll hear my voice when you call us, and I’m usually the one to greet you first when you walk into our sleek, beautiful office :)
I love being the one to keep things on time, organized and flowing with efficiency around The Dental House. It’s not only my favorite thing to do, but it’s an important role to have in an office like ours where we’re always pushing ourselves to be the absolute best for our patients! Working with such a unique group is truly special, and I’m grateful, daily!
